The city of Dubai just made sci-fi real! On June 22, 2025, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) began public test flights of driverless AI-powered flying taxis.


> “This is the start of the air mobility revolution,” said RTA chief engineer Mahmoud Al Qassimi.




Manufactured by Volocopter and powered by Tesla’s AI navigation system, these 2-seater drones can fly up to 30 km without stopping.
