Siemens Secures ₹4,100 Crore Contract for Mumbai–Ahmedabad Bullet Train Signaling



🛤 Major milestone in India’s first bullet train project! A Siemens-led consortium has just secured a ₹4,100 crore contract from the National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) to implement ETCS Level 2 signaling and telecommunications for the Mumbai–Ahmedabad high-speed rail corridor .

The consortium includes Siemens Mobility GmbH, Siemens Limited, and DRA Infracon Pvt Ltd.  


The ETCS Level 2 system supports train speeds up to 350 km/h, featuring centralized traffic control and real‑time monitoring  .


Part of the broader Make in India initiative, this domestic technology deployment marks a major step in India's high-speed rail infrastructure.
